Created for users with seriously active lifestyles, the Nokia 5500 sports a dust-proof, splash-proof, and shock-proof stainless steel casing for maximum protection from the elements. A great match for your sports training activities, it includes a 3D accelerometer that allows the phone to act as pedometer/step counter and a number of sports tracking applications (training data, speed and distance, steps taken, and calories burned). With the integrated digital music player you can listen to FM radio or MP3s to stay energized. Snap photos using the 2-megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom and record video clips on the go. This cell phone can be used with a GSM network service provider and it provides tri-band connectivity (900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 1900 MHz). Powered by GPRS/EDGE Class 10 (Enhanced Data for Global Evolution) technology, the 5500 makes information exchange a breeze by offering immediate mobile connectivity.

The brightly colorful TFT display has a resolution of 208 x 208 pixels and offers 262K colors. Because the 5200 is Bluetooth enabled, wireless communication headsets can be configured with the phone for total hands-free operation. It includes an 8 MB memory, and it’s expandable via MicroSD memory cards. The T9 predictive text entry technology is built into the unit, which makes it easier for people to enter words and text on handsets–a plus for mobile email and text messaging users.

The 2-megapixel camera captures images up to 1600 x 1200 pixels and it features a 4x digital zoom, self timer, and options for night photos, brightness adjustment, and image quality. The Nokia 5500 is based on the Series 60 platform and Symbian OS, offering a broad set of features and messaging functionalities and enabling third-party application developers to create their own music applications. Those applications can be downloaded and installed on the Nokia 5500. It also offers an XHTML web browser, a good collection of personal information management (PIM) applications (calendar, countdown timer, alarm clock, stopwatch, reminders, notes), animated screensavers and wallpapers. The Nokia 5300 XpressMusic Red the bigger brother of the 5200 with its larger 320 x 240 colour screen and upgraded 1.3 mega pixel digital camera although its still got the same 5MB internal memory the 5300 comes with a 256MB card giving you about enough space to store 4 hours of music if the mp3 @128kbps or around 70 tracks, apart from that the Nokia 5300 is a nice little compact phone designed for music lovers listening to music whilst doing the rounds. Like the 5200 the 5300 has the nice feature of the 3.5mm headphones jack so dump the Nokia hands free headphones of sadness and hello headphones of joy or connect the 5300 upto external speakers to let everyone hear your music. Music player supports MP3, SpMidi, AAC, AAC+ and enhanced AAC+ files.
